📢Day 3 of the Academy: Spotlight on Special Education 🌟

We wrapped up our Academy on Wednesday with a powerful and insightful day dedicated to Special Education. 💙

Our team had the privilege of learning from expert presenters from the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) and our very own Special Education Consultant. Together, they led engaging sessions that deepened our understanding of special education practices, compliance, and strategies to support all learners.

From legal updates to inclusive instructional approaches, the day was packed with valuable information and meaningful conversations. It was a great way to end the Academy—focused on equity, support, and student success.

Thank you to everyone who made this day impactful!

🌞 What an incredible first week of our summer school program: Brainwaves and Sunrays! Our days were filled with curiosity, creativity, and community. From sensory-based learning in writing, math, and science to crafting with seashells and mod podge—every moment was a discovery! 🐚✏️🔍 We explored our 5 senses, built string telephones, tallied data, and even turned snack time into math lessons. 🍧📊 A splash pad adventure taught us teamwork, courage, and that Ms. Tina is the bravest of all! 💦💙 Huge thanks to Mrs. Anne Walker & Youth Health Services for their generous support. Here's to more joyful learning ahead! 🌟 #SummerSchoolMagic #GreatThingsAtPCS #Brainwaves&Sunrays
