Due to the National Weather Service predictions for snow and hazardous road conditions and reports from around the county this morning, all Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
We will now have school on April 16.


This is a reminder that students of Pocahontas County Schools will not attend school on Monday, February 17. This is a scheduled faculty senate and professional meeting day.


Evan Rose's bus is running about ten minutes late this morning.

Due to the ice storm warning, Pocahontas County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Thursday, February 13, 2025.


We hope everyone stayed safe today in the snow. The current conditions and forecast will have Pocahontas County Schools closed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. This closure will result in attending school on Tuesday, April 15 during Spring Break.


Due to the National Weather Service predictions and Winter Storm Warning, all Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
We will now attend school on Monday, April 14 during Spring Break.


Due to current conditions throughout the county, including fallen trees, power outages, and icy roads, all Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
We will now have school on April 21.

The decision has been made to close all Pocahontas County Schools on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 due to today's pending weather, and the ice storm warning from the National Weather Service . This decision was made to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Our last day of school will now be June 3.

All Pocahontas County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Thursday, January 23, 2025. We are excited to see our students and staff! Dress warm and stay safe.


All Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.


Due to the frigid temperatures, Pocahontas County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.
This will be our first "Outside the School Environment Day" (OS), meaning we will make up the day on May 30. Since we are making up the day, there will be no snow packets for students or meetings for staff on January 21.
Stay warm and safe in this weather!


On Monday, January 20th, all Pocahontas County Schools will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
As we approach MLK Day, let's remember Dr. King's powerful message of unity and the importance of coming together as a community. Whether through acts of kindness, learning about others, or simply sharing his words, we can all contribute to making our world a better place.
